A: Yes. Soul Shift Haven promotes a sober and substance-free living environment. Residents are expected to maintain sobriety and support a healthy household culture.
Q: Who can apply?
A: Adults who are willing to follow program guidelines, maintain sobriety, participate in a structured environment, and actively work toward employment, education, or approved personal development goals may be eligible.

Q: Does submitting an application guarantee housing?
A: No. Submission of an application or referral does not guarantee admission or housing placement. All applicants are screened based on program requirements, availability, and overall program fit.
Housing & Living Arrangements
Q: Are rooms furnished?
A: Housing accommodations include furnished living spaces. Specific amenities vary by location and availability.
Q: Are utilities included? What all is included? And what am I responsible for?
A: Utilities and household cleaning products are included in monthly program fee. Residents are responsible for personal care items and food items. Details are discussed during the application and admission process.
Q: Can I have visitors?
A: Visitors are not allowed in houses, with the exceptions of case workers, social workers, probation/parole officers, and other partnering local agencies. The visitor policies are outlined in the resident handbook and are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
Q: Can I bring my children?
A: At this time, Soul Shift Haven is not equipped to accommodate minor children within the housing program. The program is equipped as Independent Living for responsible adults.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets are generally not permitted. Approved service animals and accommodations required by applicable laws will be considered.

A: Residents are expected to maintain employment, actively seek employment, pursue education, receive disability benefits, or participate in another approved source of income.
Q: Do I have to stay sober?
A: Yes. Maintaining a sober and substance-free lifestyle is a core expectation of the program.

A: Rule violations are addressed according to program policies. Depending on the situation, corrective action, intervention, or program discharge may occur.
